Creating a new protocol in Efforia is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to successfully create a new protocol, whether you're a new or existing user.
Step 1: Register or Login
New Users: If you're a new user, you must first create an author account in Efforia. After registration, when you log in, we'll direct you to the Efforia design assistant.
Existing Users or Collaborators: If you're an existing user or have been invited to collaborate on an existing protocol, log in to your account.
Step 2: Navigate to the Author Dashboard
Regardless of your user type, you should ensure you are on your personal author dashboard after logging in.
Step 3: Choose Your Design Method
Option 1: Use the Efforia Assistant
The Efforia Assistant is a tool that guides you through a short process to clearly identify your treatment, your hypothesis, and identify appropriate outcome measures. This is especially helpful for individuals who are new to creating research or treatment protocols.
Even if you have a lot of research experience, the Efforia Assistant can speed up the protocol development process by taking care of filling in the required fields.
To launch the Efforia Assistant:
Locate and click the "Efforia Assistant" button on your dashboard
Follow the guided instructions to create your protocol
Option 2: Create a Protocol from Scratch
If you're an experienced Efforia protocol designer, or if you have a clear vision for your protocol and are comfortable with the Efforia protocol design experience, you might prefer to create a protocol from scratch.
To create a protocol from scratch:
Locate and click the "Create Protocol" button on your dashboard
Fill in the required fields according to your research needs
