In Efforia, every task within a protocol has a defined 'Task Expiration Period.' This is the duration, measured in minutes, hours, or days, during which a task is available for completion by the participant.

The purpose of setting an expiration period is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the protocol. It is not a good idea to have tasks available indefinitely. This is because the consistency of measurements could be affected if tasks can be completed at any time.

Additionally, having an open-ended completion time can make it difficult to determine if a participant has accurately followed the treatment protocol. If all 30 tasks designed to be repeated daily are completed all at once on day thirty, the results might not accurately reflect the intended daily impact of the treatment making any outcome measures irrelevant.

The 'Task Expiration Period' ensures that tasks are completed within a specific window, maintaining the structure of the protocol and ensuring more accurate, valuable results. This "window," also known as a task "window period" is identified as the number of days that the task is available to be completed before it expires.

Remember, completing tasks within their set expiration period is important for the success of your protocol. If you have any questions or need further assistance with tasks, don't hesitate to contact our support team.
