On Efforia, each task within a protocol has an approximate 'Task Time of Day' when it should be completed by the participant. This time helps to guide when participants should complete tasks, especially important when the effectiveness of a treatment or measure may depend on the time of day it's done.

Tasks not completed within the appropriate time of day period may expire, or be deferred to the appropriate time the next day assuming that the task has a multi-day window period. The 'window period' refers to a set amount of time in which the task may be completed before it expires.

Why Time of Day Matters

Certain treatments or measures are meant to be done at specific parts of the day. For example, a sleep aid taken before bed, or a journaling activity intended for first thing in the morning.

Time of Day Options

Efforia provides a range of 'Task Time of Day' options to cater to these needs:

  • Anytime: The task can be done at any time of day.

  • Wake Time: The task should be completed upon waking up.

  • Early Morning to Late Morning: The task should be done in the morning hours, before midday.

  • Lunchtime: The task is meant to coincide with a midday meal.

  • Early Afternoon to Late Afternoon: This task is to be done in the afternoon hours.

  • Early Evening to Late Evening: The task should be done in the evening.

  • Dinnertime: The task should align with the evening meal.

  • Bed Time: The task should be completed when preparing for bed.

  • Sleep Time: This task should be done while sleeping.

  • Work Hours: The task should be done during typical office working hours.

Remember, 'Task Time of Day' helps to ensure tasks are done at the most effective times, aligning with the protocol's aim and your daily routine
