The 'Free/Busy' select on Efforia is a feature that primarily works in conjunction with the calendar integration for protocol tasks. Efforia allows participants to subscribe to their protocol within their Google or Outlook calendar, helping you organize your tasks effectively.

When a task is set to 'Free', it's understood that the task doesn't need undivided attention. The calendar entry is set as free allowing other activities during during the same time slot.

Conversely, if a task is labelled 'Busy', it's assumed that the task requires dedicated focus. A participant's calendar will mark this time slot as busy, preventing other activities from being scheduled during the same period.

By choosing your 'Free/Busy' status for each task, you both set participant expectations and help them manage their day, ensuring important tasks get the attention they need.
