Efforia has streamlined the process of integrating your Shopify store with our platform, enabling a seamless experience in showcasing your products and services within the Efforia library and shipping to participants.

This integration is crucial for including your offerings in various protocols, ensuring they are available in our AI language model

  • to undergo a swift regulatory review

  • facilitates efficient order management for purchases made by participants and

  • opens the door for your products to be featured in protocols authored by others—with your consent, of course.

To establish this vital link between your Shopify account and Efforia, it's necessary to create a private app on Shopify and share specific credentials with Efforia. This guide is designed to walk you through the process of obtaining an Admin API access token from Shopify, a key component in this integration. By following these straightforward steps, you'll be able to connect your Shopify account with Efforia quickly and securely.

Let's get started!

  1. Create an App:

    1. Log in to your Shopify store.

    2. Go to "Settings" and then click on "Apps and Sales Channels"

    3. In the upper right click on "Develop Apps"

    4. The click "Create an App"

  2. Enter App Details:

    1. Provide a name for your private app. (We suggest calling the app "Efforia')

    2. Enter your email address in the Emergency developer email section (this is where Shopify will send important notifications).

  3. Set App API Scopes

    1. Click on "Configure Admin API scopes" (if you aren't already on the Admin API scopes page). Please check place checks next to the following boxes.

b. Press Save in the lower left

4. Install & Generate API Key and Password:

  1. Install the App

  2. Scroll up and click "API Credentials" and you'll find the API key and Password.

  1. Click on the "Show" link to reveal the password.

  2. Take note of the API key, API Access Token, and API Secret key.

5. Share with Efforia

Share these keys with Efforia, along with your host name, which is typically your e-commerce site URL. In the below example quickstart-163ae5721.myshopify.com.
